Advance Northumberland has played a pivotal role in the successful relocation of confectionery manufacturers Sweetdreams to a state-of-the-art factory in Ashington, Northumberland.

Based in Northumberland for over 30 years, Sweetdreams Ltd, part of the SugaRich Group of companies, is a confectionery manufacturer, creating distinctively different chocolate products, including the well-known and much-loved quirky retail brand, Choc Nibbles.

By providing essential resources and guidance, Advance Northumberland was instrumental in identifying and securing the ideal location for Sweetdreams’ new facility on Jubilee Industrial Estate in Ashington. This proactive approach and unwavering commitment to supporting the company's vision have positioned Sweetdreams to become a leading name in confectionery and food manufacturing within the region.

This move also reaffirms SugaRich’s commitment to investing in Northumberland’s economic growth and the future of Sweetdreams, with their investment in this multimillion-pound site in Ashington represents a significant step toward expanding into new markets while retaining and creating jobs within the region.

Working alongside some of the world’s largest blue-chip manufacturers, Sweetdreams is well-positioned to innovate and thrive in this new chapter, solidifying Northumberland’s reputation as a hub for industry and manufacturing excellence.
