Building on the opportunities emerging from North of the Tyne and Borderlands initiatives to enhance its regeneration impact, taking its lead from Northumberland County Council, and working in collaboration with key partners.

Your key duties & responsibilities will be:

As part of Commercial Team in Ascent Homes, working as a Quantity Surveyor, you will have responsibility for specific construction sites and all associated contractual and financial management of projects.

Your Day to Day will Include

  • Organising component work packages for procurement and assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages.
  • Negotiating with sub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value.
  • Managing applications for payment from sub-contractors and preparation of applications for payment.
  • Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)
  • Preparation of final accounts
  • Working with the wider Ascent Homes team to ensure we deliver a commercially viable product.

This is an exciting time to join our Commercial Team, as we introduce a new Head of Department and continuing the implementation of our new software (Coins).
